Registration Information
Vipassana Hawaii accepts registrations through our online events calendar on a first come, first served basis. This page outlines the registration and payment process.
Our teachers travel the world providing the Dhamma to students in many centers. We list these events on our calendar but do not process registrations for all of them. In those instances you will see pertinent registration links to the host organization and you will be able to register on their site. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us.
We regret that we cannot process a registration without full payment. If you are committed to attending a retreat but are unable to pay the full amount now, please contact the office. We will try to work out a payment plan that works for both of us.
Vipassana Hawaii Events
The steps for registering are as follows:
- Go to the Retreats Calendar and find the event you are interested in attending. Click “More Info” and the full description and details will appear.
- Click on “Registration Form” at the bottom of the event listing.

Determine if you will pay for your retreat by Paypal (our preferred method because it is environmentally friendly and convenient for all parties) or by check. If paying by check, print out and complete the registration form at the bottom of the page and mail the form, along with your check, to the address listed.
To pay by Paypal, click on the 'Pay Now' button and follow the steps. This is a Paypal link but you do not have to establish a Paypal account to use the service; you can simply pay with a credit card. If you do have a Paypal account you may have additional payment options beyond using a credit card.
When your payment process is complete, please return to the Vipassana Hawaii registration page and complete the registration form. Make sure you press 'Submit' when you are finished completing the form.
- Within 5 days our office will send you confirmation of your registration by email. If there are preliminary questions that need attention a retreat manager will be in contact with you directly. If you have not been contacted within 7 business days please feel free to contact our office.
- You will also receive a packet of information regarding your particular event. In some cases, such as the Asia retreats, this will include any needed travel arrangement information and visa requirements.
Waiting List
Sometimes events that have limited space are full, but we offer the option of being placed on a waiting list. If additional space opens up we will contact the people on the list until spaces have been filled.
Cancellation Policy
If you have any questions regarding our policies, please contact us before you register for the event. The following applies to all events which require a deposit:
- If you cancel more than 45 days prior to the retreat:
We will refund all fees less $50.00.
- If you cancel 10-44 days prior to the retreat:
We will refund all fees less $100.00. - If you cancel less than 10 days prior to the event:
Last-minute cancellations are costly and sometimes mean that others cannot attend the retreat. If you withdraw less than 10 business days before the start of your retreat you will not receive a refund.
In some cases certain events may require different policies that the office staff can explain to you during the registration process.
