Vipassana Hawaii is proud to offer Mind Your Life with Andrea Fella, a program that integrates formal Vipassana practice with daily life by surrounding our usual workweek and workdays with meditation and discussion.
During the week, we will meet as a group each morning before work and each evening after work to inspire, encourage, and support our daily life practice. The workweek is bookended by a day of instruction on the initial Sunday, and a day formal practice on the final Saturday. There will be opportunities for individual practice interviews with Andrea during the week.
While participants will receive the most benefit from the retreat if they can attend all the sessions, such a commitment is not required. Please plan, however, to attend the initial Sunday and final Saturday sessions, and as many of the weekday sessions as your schedule permits.
Cost: $140 plus dana (a voluntary offering to the teacher). Vipassana Hawaii is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, and all dana is tax deductible.

Andrea Fella has been practicing Vipassana meditation since 1996, and was quickly drawn to intensive practice. She has done many retreats of several months duration, both in the USA and Burma, as a lay person and as an ordained Buddhist nun. Her Burmese teachers include Sayadaws U Pandita, U Janaka, and U Tejaniya. Her main American teachers are Joseph Goldstein, Gil Fronsdal, and Carol Wilson.
Andrea began teaching residential retreats in 2006, and has taught at Insight Meditation Center (IMC) and Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Northern California, and at Cloud Mountain Retreat Center in Washington State. She also teaches meditation classes and non-residential retreats at IMC. Her teachings emphasize clarity and practicality, and she is especially drawn to the wisdom teachings of the Buddha.
