A DAYLONG MINDFULNESS
MEDITATION RETREAT
with Michele McDonald
Time: Saturday, October 4 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Place: Palolo Zen Center , 2747 Waimao Road, Honolulu
Come spend a peaceful day in the back of Palolo Valley with one of the experienced teachers of Vipassana meditation.
Michele McDonald has taught Insight meditation for twenty-six years. Her style of teaching emphasizes helping individuals find entry points into stillness that are natural for them. With a great sense of humor, she relates her teachings in such a way that people can access the peaceful depths of their experience in every moment.
Additional information: The retreat is suitable for both beginners to meditation and those with experience. The day long session consists of instruction, sitting and walking periods, question and answer session and comments by the teacher. Lunch is followed by a rest or walking period. Come enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Zen Center.
The cost of the retreat is $30 which includes $15 for zendo charge, $5 for insurance, $10 for airfare. These figures do not include donations for the teachings.
It is necessary to register by calling 737-5169 by October 2 because a head count is needed for the meal which is donated as Dana by Thanh and Xuan Huynh.
